My most popular Architrave is an exact copy of a listed Wolds manor house architrave.
Unlike most off the shelf moulding, this is made from two pieces tongued and grooved together, which helps to resist cupping (bending) across the width, machined from FSC certified Poplar.
The wood I use goes through 3 machining processes taking two weeks prior to moulding and assembly, this is to help reduce movement.
If you look closely, the bead is returned underneath which makes a lovely traditional feature you do not see on off the shelf mouldings.
Each piece is hand sanded before priming with two basecoats leaving a ready to paint surface.
Overall dimensions 90mm wide x 30mm thick.
The architrave set comprises of 2 Jambs at 2200mm long and 1 header 1100mm long, these fit a door opening up to 900mm wide x 2100mm high.
If you are confident at measuring and your door frame is square, I also offer a corner mitering option so all you have to do is fit the on site, this is free and I will send details of how to measure with order.
I always carry one complete finished set and need a few days to assemble and paint additional sets.
Special door sizes please ask, not a problem.
