I have made this Beautiful traditional Console table to add to my range, at home in a hallway, kitchen,Dining, bedroom or living room. A piece to last for generations.

I have added a few little features to make the unit stand out.

30 mm solid oak top finished in clear acrylic lacquer which brings out the grain and colour yet leaving a no maintenance surface-no waxing or oiling-resists spillages and abrasion.

Slender turned legs, fielded drawer fronts with solid oak hand turned knobs on full extension lifetime guarantee runners.

Solid Ash dovetailed drawers, finished in smooth acrylic clear finish-only requires a lightly damp cloth to clean, nothing else.

Rails have a bead detail to the bottom-all hardwood

Size:- 1200 mm long x 495 mm wide x 770 mm high

The one in the picture is finished in Farrow & Ball Ammonite low sheen, easy to clean as finish is perfectly silky smooth.

History
The original origins of the console table are in French and Italian Furniture Design.
Tables were often incredibly detailed using marble and gold and ornate carvings.
In the late 17th and 18th century, Aristocratic homes and Palaces had these as a must have item of furniture.
Originally supported by brackets on the wall called consoles, hence the name.
Today, consoles are mainly on legs.
